Thank you for the informative post on ticks & Lyme Disease. Some folks (including doctors) are not aware that Lyme can be transmitted by ticks here in Ireland (usually by the European Sheep Tick, ixodes ricinius). Using tick repellants & carrying tick twisters are a good idea as prevention is better than cure. Take special care if you own pets as ticks can be carried into the home. Leaflets & prevention tips are available on our site. Take care out there ;)
