Breed Description

The Siberian Husky is a medium-sized breed that has a wolf-like exterior. These working dogs have powerful legs and study build. With compact bodies, the males usually weigh around 45-60 pounds, and stands between 21-23.5 inches tall at the withers. The female, being slightly smaller, weighs around 35-50 pounds, and generally stands between 20-22 inches tall at the withers.

Coat

The Siberian Husky is a double-coated breed that can withstand extremely low temperature. They have a soft undercoat and a thicker and a little coarse outer coat. They commonly come in jet black, silver black, black and white, black and reddish black, wolf grey, grey, sable, copper, and chocolate copper.

Activity

The Siberian Husky is a highly energetic breed. Mushing is one of the most effective ways in burning this breed's pent up energy. Mushing is harnessing dogs to a sled for transport or recreation.
