Shiba Inu puppies are an absolute delight to both raise and train. From the moment they are born they are very curious about the world around them. They immediately begin to explore and to search out their surroundings.

The Shiba Inu breed of dog typically has 3-5 puppies per litter. They are very small in size and look much like oversized hamsters when first born. Some Shiba Inu puppies are so small that they can actually fit comfortably in the palm of your hand.

The Shiba Inu character begins to develop when they are just puppies. They are very loving and gentle puppies that seek attention from their mother and also from humans. Shiba Inu character is mostly seen in their need for approval and in their need for attention. The Shiba Inu character develops when they are just puppies and continues to stay true into adulthood.

Shiba Inu puppies are very easy to care for when properly monitored. The female Shiba Inu will keep watch over her pups and will provide them with the nourishment they need at an early stage. Once they are weaned, many owner will feed Shiba Inu puppies a diet of lamb and rice. This diet will generally make the young pup coats shine, which is just one the outer Shiba Inu character traits.

However, you should check with your local animal care administrator before taking on any major changes in your Shiba Inu puppies diet. It is very important that they receive proper nutrition when they are still in the beginning stages of development.

Other considerations that must be kept in mind when caring for Shiba Inu puppies is to have them checked for any serious medical conditions. This should be done no later than three months into development. It is at this time that you will need to take your Shiba Inu puppies in for their general and government required shots.

As stated before, the female will take care of her pups up until it is time for them to experience life on their own. It is at this time that they will need to move on to semi-solid foods. It's also at this time that they become more energetic and attention seeking.

You may experience behavior such as chewing on anything and everything they can put into mouth. This can include one another. At this young age they are just learning their strength and will sometimes playfully bite one another. Don't be surprised if you hear them "yelping" as they play with one another in a rough manner. This is part of the normal Shiba Inu character.
