Woman Sticks Finger Up Dog's Bum?
- 23/09/2014
Ann Bendouli managed to save her dog by thinking quickly and inserting her finger up an attacking dog's rear-end ... Ann Bendouli put her finger up a dog's bum - it doesn't sound like an incredible act of bravery... but, er, it was.
Ann, a 54-year-old from Australia, was walking her dog, a puppy Jack Russell named Lexey, when it was attacked by another dog - a Staffordshire Terrier.
The important thing here is not that Ann stuck a finger up a dog's bum, even though that in itself is fairly important, but it's actually about what we've learned from the ordeal.
Dogs don't like it when you stick a finger up their bum...
Here's Ann's step-by-step guide on how she managed to save her dog from the attack.
1) Remember your Google search history
Ann said she managed to save her dog because she recalled Google-ing it a while back.
2) Take the right equipment with you
“I had read that you are supposed to pick up the dog’s tail and put a lighter up its behind,” the 55-year-old Australian told Perth Now.
Now you know there's two things lighter's are good for even if you don't smoke - warding off dog attacks, and waving them slowly through the air during ballads at gigs.
3) If you don't have a lighter - improvise
“I didn’t have a lighter, so I put my finger up its backside."
Wait, what?
4) Remember the small details
Ann says she put her finger in "right up to the second knuckle."
Too much detail...
5) Remember your own safety first
Ann said she "had to do something to save [her] dog", which is every pet owner's worst nightmare. And while her brave response worked in this situation, always remember your own safety first.
“This dog is dangerous, it should have been leashed and muzzled,” said Ann.
