Because of the size of these dogs, the owner must stay in control of the dog. The owner must become the "alpha" leader of the pack even if the pack has only two members, your dog and the owner. When your dog realises this complex relationship, training should flow smoothly and the owner will be happy and your dog will be comfortable fitting into his owner's home. As the "alpha", the owner mustn't ever surrender his authority for even one minute. Do not underestimate your pet's intelligence. But do not worry too much because this breed is extremely trainable.
