If you have made the decision to become a Bichon owner, you have one final decision to make: Will you adopt a Bichon from an animal shelter/Bichon rescue, or buy directly from a Bichon breeder? Both have their pros and cons. Adopting or rescuing a Bichon is inexpensive and can be a rewarding experience. On the other hand, although it is much more expensive, buying from a breeder comes with certain guarantees about the pureness of the breed that can lead to a happier and healthier life for your dog. In the end the choice is yours, but here we will look at the process of finding and buying from a breeder.
