Pet Grooming: Why is it Important? By Thomas Cowella

Your pet may not like you grooming him but you still have to do it not just for him but for you and your family as well. Not all dogs liked their nails being clipped, their fur being combed or their teeth being brushed. In fact, there are dogs that scream in agony even if you are just clipping their nails.

Grooming is one of the necessary things you have to do when you own a pet. Gathering of dead hair must be avoided because they can be itchy to both you and your pet and they can make your carpet dirty. Although you use treatment to keep your dog free from parasite like fleas, it will not still be totally effective. Hence, you need to check the hair of your dog once in a while for ticks, lies and fleas. If you brush your pet's hair, you help his blood circulate properly in his body and this can result to shiny coat and less unpleasant smell.

Other than shiny coat, grooming can also give more serious result. Once you groom your animal friend, you get the chance to inspect his body and see and changes like formation of lumps. If you notice this, you can take him to the vet right away for immediate treatment. You also get the chance to see wounds, scratches and splinters in your dog's skin.

In addition to your dog's hair, you also have to take care of his teeth. For large animals like dogs, it will be easy to notice oral problems. However, for smaller animals such as cats and rabbits, it'll be a bit difficult to do. It is necessary to examine the teeth of your pet for cavity, broken teeth and gum problems.

Same with teeth, your pet's ears also needs regular cleaning. Your buddy spends time running and playing outside the house and this can cause him to get some dirt into his ears. He may be able to lick his body put it will be quite impossible for him to clean his ears. Hence, as his master it is your responsibility to help him clean them.

Grooming is essential because it can be a bonding session of the owner and his pet. While the pet gets all the attention, the owner can relax. Most pets love being given attention and this can be beneficial to you since taking them to the vet will be much easier because they already trust you.

Hi, don't forget that grooming also includes bathing. A clean dog helps to prevent skinproblems, smells better, keeps the house and car clener and fresher. I't is also important for keeping the coat in good condition etc. And European products can be used as often as u like... Kind regards, Per-Erik
