Older Dogs And Life Expectancy: Making The Most Of Time

  • 14/02/2010

Any owner that has an older dog will probably have looked up how long the breed generally tends to live at some stage in the past few months. Although no owner would like to admit it, we will all eventually lose our companions as they age far faster than we do. However, getting an idea of the life expectancy of an older dog is important when you are looking at how to make the most of the time he or she has left.

My soft coated wheaton terrier is nearly 10 years old now and I would like to have some idea of his life expectancy. I walk him most days and he is on a healthy vet approved diet and is quite a healthy dog!
