Many dog owners decided to make an Instagram account for their pet the moment they realize that most of the content on their personal account revolves around their little furry friend, and that is probably your case as well.

You started your dog’s Instagram page for fun but stared seeing that they got more followers than you. Now you have an entire audience that is curious to see what Mister or Miss Puppyeyes is going to do today. This means it’s time to step up your game and turn your little friend into the star that they deserve to be. But how can you do so?

Emphasize on what makes your dog unique

Every dog is unique, and they surely have something that makes them, them. Decide what that is and make sure you show that into each and every photo, story, or piece of content that you create. Does your dog have a one-of-a-king appearance, do they know any funny trick? There is surely something that makes you love your dog even more, so why not share that whit the world?

As pet owners, we often find ourselves just sitting there, looking at our dog, and trying to imagine what they are thinking. The best type of content is that which engages the viewer. In every post, you make, encourage the audience to react, sent photos of their animals, or stand out for a good cause. If people send you photos or videos of their pets, share the ones you like most, to emphasize how much they matter to you. User-generated content can be an extremely successful marketing strategy, that also helps give back to your audience and thank them for the support.

At the same time, you can go ahead and use your dog’s fame to stand up for a good cause and encourage your followers to do the same. Most instafamous pets are real advocates for other animals out there.
