Isn't It Time You Learnt About Aggressive Dog Training?
- 16/01/2016
One of the most overlooked training is aggressive dog training. Yes, you already know that your puppy or dog exhibits aggressive or destructive behavior. However, you are yet to take any action. Maybe it has even attacked a person or another pet, or damaged items in the home, or it's constantly scratching or barking. Truth of the matter is aggressive behavior can have damaging effects to both dog as well as owner. And the best way to deal with it is training the dog while still a puppy.
What Would Make My Dog So Aggressive?
You probably are wondering what would turn your little puppy into an aggressive monster. Well, as you know dogs are pack animals. They are naturally tuned to answer to an alpha or leader in the pack. In case the dog senses that there is no leader it will try to take on the role. This probably explains why when you give it a command it simply stares at you. Or, it has totally refused to follow your instructions during crate or behavior training.
Why Is Aggressive Dog Training So Important?
If you have been ignoring the call to deal with your dog's aggressive behavior you should certainly look at the damaging effects it has:
- Separation Anxiety: Aggressive behavior is a symptom of separation anxiety. The dog will feel restless or scared when left alone.
- Poor Mannerism: It goes without saying that trying to teach an aggressive dog is almost impossible.
- Self Injury: Besides threatening people or pets around it the dog will also try to inflict self injury.
- Poor Socialization: It is no fun to be around an aggressive dog; therefore, your dog will always be alone.
How to Deal With the Aggressive Behavior?
The secret to having a well-mannered and obedient dog is early training. And not just any training but following a program that has been tested and proven to be effective. A good strategy will help your dog to not fear you but respect you as the leader of the pack. It will also follow a step-by-step approach that makes the aggressive training fun and effective. Remember, being aggressive or commanding to the dog will worsen the situation.
There are many programs out there that can actually help you train your puppy or dog. Look for online training courses with lots of videos as this method of training has been known to produce the best results. It's up to you to either take advantage of the aggressive dog training program or forget about ever going near your dog.
