Affenpinschers and Obedience

If you want to exercise your Affenpinschers, then it is best to join the dog in an obedience competition. For a long time, people think that this dog is not suitable for this kind of competition. Affenpinschers have actually been known to be stubborn, however this is not true today. More and more Affenpinschers are having success in obedience competition. This is considered as a sport wherein the dog can execute a task directed by handler. Leashes are not acceptable. The task should be performed in a stylish manner. Those who are successful with this are not really obedient in the home.
The competition is divided into levels that include novice, open and advance. There are different tasks that should be performed by dogs. It includes recall, heel, Long Sit and Long Down, heel, retrieve and more. The scent discrimination is reserved for the advanced level. It is best to train your Affenpinschers for obedience. There are times that owners dismiss the fact that their dog can learn obedience because they are stubborn. This attitude is ever changing. The key is to understand that dogs are different from each other. You are going to be successful if you learn to be patient.
Affenpinschers are intelligent and they want to please their masters. Their drawback is that they get bored easily. They also need positive reinforcement to be success. Avoid negative things because it would not work. Start your training by learning the basics. The training should only last for fifteen minutes. It should be thrice a week. It is best to award your dog with positive reinforcement. This includes toys and treats. Watch your tone. Every dog is actually different. Have fun while you are at it.
You might want to consider obedience classes offered by organizations of clubs. This can help you save time with your dog. It is also a way to socialized with other dog fans.
