Training your dog and making it fit the cultured civilisation, is one big baffling task. But no matter what at one has to ensure that this is done and that too done at the correct pace. Training your dog has to be done in a proper way, deferring which, it can actually bounce back on you.
The first part to good behaviour in dogs comes from the dog walking part. The better the behaviour on the part of the humans the better behaved the dog will turn out to be. The end goal is to help you care for your dog, train and socialize your dog, so it sits fit in almost any situation.

- The dog should be happy, involved and outgoing.
- A strong relationship with the owner, focussing on well-defined roles of trust and co-operation.
- Maintain control and confidence of the dogs, whatever be the situation, especially when we have kids and other animals around.
- Working with the dog's natural instincts and drives. The process must not go opposite in any case.
- The training process has to be smooth and friendly. It must not incorporate something which has anything to do with breaking the dog's spirit.
The dog training techniques must come up with the best possible ways of exploring dog needs. These might include getting the puppies a best possible start to life. Sampling behavioural problems from their roots and making changes with consequences. Providing the dog obedience training, in the basic, as well as advanced methods from the very beginning is essential.
The lessons on dog training are to be applied with utmost care, consistency and persistence. Compassion and common sense in the minds of the dog owner is equally important. Applying the lessons is different for every dog. It is very essential to understand this basic form of application to get the much desired benefits out of it.
Some of the other things to be remembered:
- If you love your dog, it loves you back.
- If you let your dog keep doing something bad, it gets into a habit.
- We humans are the more developed species and it is up to us to learn their language. It can never be expected the other way round.
- Do not accept the dog leaning on you. Dominance is an one way process and it is to be done one way.
- The signals must be distinct and should be such that can be differentiated easily.
