An English Bulldog will grow to between 12 - 16 inches in height and it will weigh around 49 to 55 pounds. Their life span is approximately eight years. They have short haired coats that are smooth so they do not require large amounts of grooming time and you will not experience a shedding problem as can be the case with other breeds.

Although some people think these dogs are fierce, this is not true. As is the case for any do, it all depends on how they are cared for and trained. English Bulldogs are great watch dogs because they are alert and loyal. They are always wary of strangers who approach the home but it is important to know that they do not attack.
