Missing pup shows up at grooming parlour
- 03/09/2010
A FAMILY has been reunited with its beloved dog almost four months after he disappeared from their back garden.
Harry, a 22-month-old King Charles Spaniel, showed up at a dog-grooming salon 2km from the Gormans' home in Letterkenny, Co Donegal, on Tuesday.
Within hours, the resourceful pup was reunited with his incredulous owners, who had all but given up hope of ever seeing him again.
"The kids were devastated last April when he didn't come home. We hadn't stopped looking for him but our hopes were fading," said mother-of-three Sheila Gorman yesterday.
Then, out of the blue last Tuesday, she received a phonecall telling her a King Charles had been found in Letterkenny.
When the pup was reunited with Dale (14), Zach (11) and Joel (6) later that evening, they were over the moon. "It was like Christmas morning. He was so excited to see them and they were so excited."
Dog groomer Erica Glynn said she could not believe her eyes when the spaniel walked in. She was all the more baffled because her next appointment was for a King Charles.
"When I saw this little guy, I knew he couldn't have come in by himself."
