hi there, this is my first post and im not sure if im posting in the right place! i have a 13wk old rough collie cross. her maternal granny was a purebred rough collie and her mother was a rough/border collie cross. we werent sure originally what breed her father was but after her sceond visit to the vet he says that theres definitley a beagle in there somewhere! she does have ears and tail like a beagle. so my question is this... what should i expect behaviour wise, how big will she get and any other info would be fantastic as i havent found much info on the web on this particular cross.

Hi and welcome.

To be honest, its a very hard question or questions to answer. You should look up the traits of both breeds and you could get a mix of both, or more of one than the other.
With crosses its just pot luck as you never know what you are going to get.

Beagles are hunters so you could get a dog that is quite stubborn and that has a high hunting instinct as they want to use their noses and can be hard to train too.

I dont know much about rough collies but they are a herding breed as far as i know so you might have to be careful around livestock.
Size wise id say you are looking at medium size dog but again, you just cant tell for def with crosses.
