lol doubt they'll grow out of it... my gang do this too around 4/5 in the morning, the only started it about 2 yrs ago and its not every nite, but Pepper or Kas will usually take wilson's bed and he'll start barking which turns into a howl and then Pepper starts howling and then Kas... i let it go one night and the did it for an hour!!!!

I remember you telling us that Pepper ! oh they still do it ...oh xx your right no they don't grow out of this I am afraid!
The male starts it Melton then the pups go( two of them) the other two let them all do the work :) we are being strict on the pups now though. Melton has been a yapper from day one,,,he barked when we got him for a week solid and he almost lost his voice :) day and night,,,I almost lost my nerve,,,patience and a few tricks and alot of trips down the stairs we now only have alert barking as I call it,,,like for a brush / clean up / food water etc so we are winning the battle but we still haven't won the race LOL LOL :)
My mother took one of the pups Millie and she is dredful for barking so I now have trained her to bark on command and she is copping that if she is asked she is treated if she bark aimlessly no treat so she has quietened down a good bit! (it took minutes to teach her she is soso clever ,now we are doing follow up every day and she has it perfected now)

Mine bark about 7 every morning. I come down let them out and they sit on the back step and look at me as if I'm mad. Think they want me up rather than they want out!
If Skye goes to the toilet on the floor (house training has been very hit and miss with her!) then Bruce barks to get her in trouble, but always after, don't know why he can't warn me
Have you tried keeping them up a bit later to see if they are too tired to howl in the middle of the night?

Thanks for your replies. They usually don't go to bed until around 12 - so sometimes only 4 hours sleep - it doesn't really bother me as I can go back to sleep,I'm just afraid that the neighbours will be woken by it. |

Carribyrne they are brats! Although they are the best of friends they do like to "tell" on each other. I had them out yesterday on the Curragh and Bruce took off after a sheep - he's never done this before, I shouted at him and Skye came running back and sat on my feet looking up into my face as if to say I'm a good girl and he's so bold, give me all his treats too
2 pups - have your neighbours said anything to you? There's a good chance they're sleeping through it.

lol brucie, they almost sound human and i love how they tell on each other, i stupidly left a lump of roast beef on the counter today and had a shower. When i came down, the three were hiding under the kitchen table and obv the beef was gone and when i called them to come out, they all just turned their back and completely blanked me The only one that came out was the st bernard but that was just to get a drink as she was so thirsty after eating so much meat, all i could do was laugh and stick a pizza on for the family!!!
