Ive never actually had a close pet go so i have no idea what it feels like but i really sympathise with everyone and their losses.
I never got to see my max go, I was in 4th class in primary school, My mom had left for good abotu a week at this point i think, Max had puppies and she was doing great from what i remember. (By the way i named her Max before i figured she was a female). Max used to follow me to school and be outside on his own after school exactly on time every time (rarely missing a day). I came out of school to see that Max wasnt there, i went home with no clue at all to find that my dog had got the Dog warden to take my love of my life and her pups to the dog pound. I was grounded for a month for my rebellion and outrage. and after that i went to dog pound quite often hopign to see her there (oblivious to what goes on really). I never saw her again! And i never forgave my dad again despite how well i get on with him. Love ya lots like jelly tots Max! Always will. |

I am so glad that your dad isn't called Maxine?
But. Any true love, that one absolute, is only shared with your dog! It is singular, unequivecol and unquestioning!
Glad that you can share that particular love ... of you life.

I still look out for my first dog and I was really small when she vanished. I'm pretty sure our next door neighbours killed her - they robbed her pups and drowned them and killed their own dog by tying it to a railway tracks. For years I would call her name when I saw a dog that looked like her.
