hi again
Can anybody point me towards information on how to train my border collie milly how to stop pulling on the lead, she is 21 months old and gets excited on the lead because she knows she is going to the park to play catch, she is a good girl off the lead in the park but i could not trust her on the road as she has no road sense. thanks niall

Have you thought about using a headcollar? They work in the same way as a headcollar for horses does, ie- where the head goes, the body follows. They are great for helping to correct pulling on the lead as they simply can't do it whilst wearing a headcollar because if they try, their head is just pulled down. They are completely humane and are not muzzles, which some people seek to think. I especially recommend the dogmatic headcollar, they are much comfier for the dog than the halti brand. I use a dogmatic for my Mastiff and can't recommend them enough. Blue weighs 3 stone more than I do, but can control him and walk him on a lead no problem with a dogmatic.
