I missed it. But 20K on a dogs wedding... fools and their money. Should have spent the money on a shrink !

Actually it wasn't as bad as its being portrayed. She knew it was a nutty thing to do, but she had a great time, her whole life has changed because of this dog, she has a new career and says she is really, really happy so it was her way of showing it. She said herself, some people would go out and spend that on a new car, so if she wants to spend her money that way, why not?
Dressing dogs up isn't my kind of thing at all, but she didn't hurt anybody and wasn't afraid of laughing at herself.
I had more of a problem with the dog groomer that came on with a dog dyed to look like a panda - wtf? There was another woman there who's dog was wearing a Chanel bandana that cost €300, she's probably spent more than €20,000 on her dog if she buys those kind of things.
How much would someone spend on nights out over a year if you had a very active social life?

I dont get the panda thing though - I even hate people dying their dogs coat for St Patrick's day or in their county colours for All Irelands. Why not dye their own hair for dogs sake.

i didn't see the late late but i think it was a bit silly of them to do a story on someone who has spent 20k on a dog wedding when the country is in the state its in and ppl are struggling to pay bills and put food on the table... personally i think 20k on a dog wedding is just ridiculous, i don't think my wedding even cost that, she could have spent it in a more useful way but at the end of the day it was her money to waste... and that she did foolishly i think! I wont even comment on the dog grooming bit... |

I didn't think it was too bad though except the cats looked very stressed, but at least that person tried to get a say in on rescue's, the point wasn't elaborated but at least it was pointed out that the cats and one of her dog's were dspca rescues.
The wedding bit was silly and not something I'd dream of doing myself but what harm did she do to anyone, the dog probably enjoyed all the attention and new dogs to play with that day, of course it would have been nicer if she had instead donated the money to a struggling rescue but at least she was harming no one.
The grooming bit with the dyed dogs again was silly and something I'd not dream of doing but again once the dogs weren't harmed and the dye is non-toxic what harm is it doing? The only thing I was worried about with that bit was I don't remember her saying that only special dyes should be used, I hope no edjits try to copy it with potentially toxic human dyes.
Overall I thought the whole thing was too 'small cutesy dogs dressed in outfits and mollycoddled by doteing owners', I would prefered to have watched something that highlighted the work rescues do, or something that encouraged people to consider getting a rescue or pound dog, or even something like an agility, heelwork to music or assistance dog demonstration.
