I Need URGENT Advice

   Hi all, 

I found a little Bichon today.  I have tried everything to locate his owner, dog warden, pounds, local vets, garda.  The vet checked his microchip for me. The details were held by The Kennel Club. 

I called the Kennel Club, as they hold the details to his microchip.  The girl there took umbridge that she was contacted twice today about this dog.  She was so rude on the phone from the start.  When I tried to explain to her why I was calling again - she told me to 'calm down'. I was very calm. She then went off on a rant with me.  I honestly have never been treated so rudely.  Now I'm afraid that she won't bother to help me, and this little dog will never get home. He's in my sitting room now.   

I really don't want to deal with The Kennel Club again. Is there an organisation that would be able to sort this out for me.  She really was unbelievably rude and aggressive. Wished I could have taped it, it was so bad.

	That is disgraceful I would certainly call again and speak to somone more senior. That has never been my experience in dealing with anyone there. please maybe try somone else either there is a club secretary for each breed the bichon club secretary is Bichon Frise Club of Ireland Mrs. L. Watton 4 Tullyheron Road, Maghera, Northern Ireland. (047-831444330) I am sure she would be able to get the details maybe to help you out

	If your vet checked the microchip, then they should have been able to call up the dog owner's details and contact them. If they can't do that, it is because they aren't registered with the IKC for doing so, go to a different vet tomorrow and see if they are registered.
