Charlie looked so happy and confident. Easy to see he had a great life. My first cocker died of a similiar condition when he was a bit over 13 but making that decision to let him go broke my heart into a hundred pieces. The grief and then the guilt over making the decision take time to get over. My boy will be gone 5 years this year but I often think of him especially when my current cocker acts just like him. Our job is to give our dogs the best life they could have and we know we've done it well when they mean so much to us.
