A harness is a great alternative that is safer for your dog and can help with leash training as well. Here are some types of harnesses and how they help your dogs.

Front attachment harnesses

This type of harness provides you with excellent control, especially if you have a large, energetic dog. They also train your dog to sit calmly in the car and are safer than attaching a collar to a safety belt.
