Bichon Frise Grooming - Finding The Tools You Need

  • 31/10/2010

The Bichon Frise is a great breed of dog. They are cute and cuddly and are even great family pets. They must be properly trained however, which can often be difficult because they tend to be so stubborn and dominant. Then there is also the issue of Bichon Frise grooming. This is especially important for a potential owner to be aware of, because the Bichon Frise grooming process takes up a lot of time and effort.

Writing about this wonderful breed takes alot of careful editorial time and effort and uses a number of plagiarism seo tools to avoid duplicate content reproduction.

People who are busy all day and usually never home are not going to be the ideal owners for this breed, because they are so high maintenance and require so much attention. They crave attention so much in fact that they will begin to get angry and destructive if they are left alone for even just a few hours. If you are going to be willing and able to put in the time that they need in terms of their grooming however, then they will make a great pet.

When it comes to Bichon Frise grooming, there are a few tips in particular that any owner should keep in mind. One is that regular grooming is more than just helpful it is required with these dogs. Their coat is very soft and cottony and can easily get matted and tangled up if not properly taken care of. Like most other long haired breeds, these dogs shed often and a lot and so regular brushing is required in order to keep as much hair off your clothes and furniture as possible.

The best idea is that you have hair shed and mats removed before bathing your dog and that you fluff dry them with a blow dryer. It is never a good idea to let a Bichon Frise air dry because this can leave knots in the fur that can be incredibly difficult to get out. As a Bichon Frise owner it is also recommended that you use the services of a professional groomer if you want to get the absolute best results possible. They will also use the highest quality grooming tools and take their time to make sure the job gets done right.

The bottom line is that the Bichon Frise grooming routine is one that is going to require a lot of your time and effort. Bichon Frise cuts can be difficult to do yourself or expensive to have a professional do it for you. As long as you are willing to make the sacrifice here and put this time and effort forth, then you should have no problems and should find a great pet and friend in the Bichon Frise.

Regular grooming is not an option with these dogs it is essential. Particularly because you want to keep up their puffy appearance, it is important that they are taken care of. You can always hire a grooming professional to do the work here, but of course there will be a fee required for these services, and this can certainly add up over time. Besides that, taking time to groom a dog allows the owner to spend more time with them and bond with them, and this is something that should be appreciated.

One of the reasons the Bichon Frise is so popular is because it does NOT shed.

I've been breeding Bichon's for over 15 years now and i have yet to come across an individual who sheds or leaves any hair around.

In my experience the only time a Bichon will leave hair around is after they have been groomed.
