It is not always easy to groom your dog directly at home. Because even if the desire is there, the lack of knowledge and habit can frighten the more reckless among us.

It is not easy indeed to cut the scissors around the eyes. Not easy either if your dog is a nervous wreck and won't let it goes. And then, should we clean his ears? The teeth? How to take good care of his paws? So many legitimate questions run through the minds of parents of dogs who aren't groomers.

And unfortunately, hiring a professional to groom your dog can quickly become a sizeable cost in the annual budget.

Here is an article that will make grooming your dog at home easier.

From washing to shearing, we contacted Bastien, a renowned groomer in Paris, to give us his tips and recommendations for successful home grooming.

Also, learn how to make grooming your dog easier if your dog is restless, scared, and aggressive. There are indeed natural solutions as well as dog training collars except shock collars to calm your companion, soothe his phobia and gently accustom him to the bath.

TOOLS FOR PERFECT GOLDENDOODLE DOG GROOMING:

Before you start, prepare everything you need to not scatter, make your canine impatient and escape as soon as your back is turned:

  • a shower, a bath or a basin
  • a non-slip mat
  • a tail comb or best brush for goldendoodle
  • A mild shampoo - CAUTION: do not use unsuitable shampoo or product for humans.
  • a pair of scissors
  • a lawn mower
  • a nail clipper

AT WHAT FREQUENCY TO WASH YOUR DOG?

“Grooming your dog too often is bad for your dog's hair but also for his skin. In addition, the hair of your canine is full of vitamins necessary for his health, and that he swallows when he licks his coat” explains the groomer.

A washing frequency is thus considered reasonable, if it is every two or three months.

For those who need to wash their dog more regularly, 3 solutions:

  • use a leave-in shampoo,
  • rinse it with pure water,

Or simply dry it (if it has rolled in the mud) then brush it with best brush for goldendoodles dogs to remove residue.
