The Easy Way To Clean Up Every Annoying Pet Mess
- 29/03/2018
Having pets is amazing but more often than not, cleaning up the mess they leave behind makes you consider chaining them outside. Pee stains, fur all over the place and the smell of wet fur on the couch are every pet owner’s worst nightmare.
The question that looms is “What can I do to clean all these up without losing too much time?” There are actually a couple of ways you can clean up every mess in less than half an hour.
1. Get Rid Of The Smell With Baking Soda
Sprinkling some baking soda on your furniture (especially the couch or the armchairs) before vacuuming them will eliminate the damp fur smell. Make sure you leave the soda to take action for 10 minutes before you vacuum.
2. Get A Black Light
It can so happen that there’s a pungent smell in a room but no pee or poo stain in plain sight. In this case, you can find it immediately with a black light.
3. Use A Glove To Pick Up Fur Shedding
Put a rubber glove on your hand and immerse it in water then go and just press gently against the floor where the fur is. Due to the fact that the glove is wet, the fur will stick to it instantaneously.
Obviously, you’ll have to use a vacuum cleaner in order to get rid of the fur that doesn’t get picked.
4. Remove Stains With Soapy Water And Vinegar
Pet stains can be easily removed using soapy, lukewarm water. Use 1 tbsp. of soap (you can use or dish soap) and 1 cup of water. Soak a cloth in that mixture and gently rub the stain.
After this, make a mixture of 1 tbsp. of vinegar (any kind will do) and 1 cup of water and rub the spot again – this will get rid of the smell.
5. Spray The Pet With Baking Soda And Vinegar
Buy a spritz bottle and fill it with water, baking soda and just a drop of vinegar. This spray will eliminate the odour of the fur. Do not spray your pet in the face, because this will irritate its eyes.
This works perfectly when you can’t give your pet a bath every single day. Also, you can use this to freshen the couch or the chairs.
6. Clean Mud Stains When They Dry Out
If you clean them when they’re fresh, you’ll make a bigger mess. Dry mud can be easily vacuumed, so wait up until you can do so. Trying to rub fresh mud stains will just spread it all over the floor.
Conclusion
Dealing with the huge mess a pet can produce on a daily basis is an easy task as long as you’ve got a couple of aces up your sleeve. Use these tips and you won’t spend more than a couple of minutes on cleaning up your house.
Of course, feel free to spend the good news to your friends who might not know of these easy ways of cleaning pets’ mess.
