Pets For Children: Their Importance In The Development Of The Child
- 27/04/2019
Scientists, studying human psychology, a psychologist Max Polyakov is among them, noted that pets help to resist stresses, help parents to instill such qualities as responsibility, accuracy, compassion in their children, and teach them to respect someone else's space. They also help in kid development. Have you ever thought why is child development important or how will knowing the typical development of a child help you? It's essential because it depends on kid development what kind of person he or she will be in the future.
Choosing a Pet and Child Development
Think carefully before deciding what pet to get. Take into account your kid's temperament because a pet plays an important role in child development; think about the family lifestyle and availability of free time. A good variant will be to adopt a pet from an animal shelter. The staff of animal shelter can provide you with all the necessary information about the animal, its medical history and so on.
If you can't have a pet at home but you perfectly aware of how important communication with animals for your child development stages is, there are other options. Your kid can help to foster the classroom animal which is cared by the students of the class. The cooperative task will help to develop good social skills in your kid. It’s also important to play with an animal because everybody knows about the importance of play in child development. Some zoos allow the children and adults to take care of the animals by feeding them or cleaning their cages. This teaches the children to be responsible for our little friends.
Reasons for Getting a Pet
● Respect: When a kid learns to respect the animal, he or she will learn to respect people too.
● Compassion: When a kid learns to understand the animal's needs and fears, he or she becomes more responsive and sympathetic.
● Responsibility: Caring for the animal, a kid learns to be responsible for what he or she is doing.
● Self-esteem: pets never judge and a kid can tell it his or her secrets and desires. That’s why if you try to find an answer on how to get a child development associate, think about a pet getting.
● Fears overcoming: Children who grow with pets are not so afraid of the animals.
● Love for nature: Pets allow the children to get to know about wildlife, love it and try to save it.
Some boarding schools implement animal-assisted therapy for children who are victims of abusive treatment, whose parents are addictive or for extremely hyperactive children.
It was also noted that children with autism showed more signs of social behavior when they were communicating with animals.
When a kid learns to care for his or her little friend, he or she becomes a responsible, caring and responsive adult. Do you agree with this statement?
