Benefits Of Bringing Your Dog On A Business Trip With You
- 21/02/2019
You may have never considered it, but bringing your dog on a personal or business trip can be a good idea for many reasons. Dogs are pleasant companions, enhance personal security, and are a fun diversion during the stress of travelling. Anyone planning to visit the Dublin/Columbus, Ohio, area should know that there are several pet-friendly hotel choices for visitors with dogs in tow. The area is also an ideal place to do sightseeing, enjoy a wonderful meal, and walk through historic districts.
Benefits of Bringing Your Dog on a Trip
Having a dog with you provides an added layer of personal security. Just like at home, your dog will act as the first line of defence against intruders and neer-do-wells.
Studies have shown that it is psychologically comforting to have your dog with you while you travel. Let's face it, we grow emotionally attached to all of our pets, but there's something special about dogs. Not only do you get the benefits of travelling with your doggo, but you don’t have to worry about them with a pet sitter or being boarded.
Many hotels now cater to guests who have dogs. This development in the hotel industry has been a long time coming, but it has finally arrived. For travellers, however, it is always a good idea to call ahead and verify that an online listing of "pet-friendly" is the current policy.
If you do travel with your dog, remember to bring enough of your pet's regular food and treats, a leash, a dog bed or blanket for sleeping, water/food dishes, and waste bags.
Always inform the front desk that you have a dog with you. Many hotels have special sections or designated rooms for guests with dogs.
Plan ahead and schedule your time carefully so you don't need to leave the dog in your room for extended periods while you're gone. Some pet-friendly hotel chains require dogs to be in kennel-type cages if there's no human in the room while the dog is there.
