About The Boston Terrier

  • 12/05/2011

Take your time and observe the Boston terrier puppies when you visit the breeders facility and you will realise they are not all the same, but each of them is an unique little creature. Some can be very outgoing and boisterous, while others may seem more serene and independent. They can be very active, energetic, or may just want to cuddle and snuggle in a warm lap. The Boston terrier puppies differ in every aspect of their personality, and this is why it is so important to know how to choose the puppy that gets well with your own personality. Choosing the right puppy for you means you will be happy with the selection you made and he or she will live in harmony with you.

At the first sight, the Boston terrier puppies from a litter look similar, so choosing one of them can be a challenging task. Yet, the first and most important aspect to notice is the overall health of the puppy. Take a closer look at the eyes of the puppy and notice if they are cheerful, frisky, bright and clear. Often, unhealthy animals get a clouded and far-away look in their eyes, as well as runny or watery eyes, alerting the potential owner that all is not well. Another thing to look is their furry coat. Notice if it looks shiny and smooth or the aspect is rough, dull and matted. A healthy body with a good metabolism and the food of quality given in adequate quantities lead to a shiny coat. After that examine the condition of his or her nails. Are they brittle, discoloured or soiled? Watch also the puppies when they go to bathroom and see if the faeces look well-formed or unhealthy. Although some of these things are rather graphic, they are well worth looking into to ensure you are choosing the right Boston terrier pup for you.
