heres one for you...I'm studying to be an accountant and i still cant get this!!!

3 priests check into a hotel for a night. they pay €10 each for a room. so the room is €30 in total!

when the manager comes in an finds out their priests he send the porter up with €5 back cause they get a discount. on the way up he keeps €2 (cause €5 cant be divided between 3priests evenly). so he gives the priests €1 back each.

So now the Priests have paid €9 each for the room. so the room cost them €27, the porter took €2 which makes €29...so where did the other €1 go???

Ok I have it!....it's just a different way of looking at it...

The priests paid €27 for the room, the hotel got €25 of that, €2 went into the porter's pocket, and the other €3 went back to the priests.
The €2 the porter pocketed was part of the €27....not part of the €30, if that makes sense...
