Hey guys

I was thinking how would everyone fancy meeting up for a picnic one day now the weather is getting "abit" nicer? bring the dogs have a stroll and some sarnies or sambos as you call them?

Either that or I was thinking a camping trip, irishdog folks, dogs and tents? Sound like a laugh????

Whatcha fink?

We'd have to do it mid country so everyone can come.

Funnily enough Lisa, I do have a tent that would be big enough for us and all the dogsLOL  We used to go camping quite a bit in England, and fostering, all the kids had to have seperate bedrooms - supposedly even on holiday!!!!  So we've got a tent with 3 different 'bedrooms' that can be divided into two each, so that 6 bedroomsLOL  I used to put the dog crate in one of them for the dogs, that of course was before we had enough dogs to fill the tent on their ownConfused

Well I'm up for it, love camping.  And ladies, I have a camping loo, and a little tent that goes over it - don't think it would cope with everybody using it as the only toilet, but it comes in handy in the middle of the night, when you don't want to go to the toilet blockBig%20smile

I'd deffo be up for camping, I am the self-proclaimed Queen of Camping....with a beloved, but ancient, campervan...out in it most weekends with the dogs

Awww, a picnic would be fun too....and I'd be up for that as well.

But if it went to a vote, I'd go for camping everytime!

The Clonmacnoise campsite can be found here:

The lady who owns it is called Vivienne Holmes.

I recently organised a weekend there for a vw camper club, and she was very amenable and offered us a reduced Group Rate.

Sadly we had to cancel the weekend due to circumstances beyond our control, so haven't stayed there yet.  We plan to organise another later in the year.

But as long as you/we avoid high season (July-Aug) and Bank Holiday weekends I dont see any reason why they would take you/us.  And dont see why she wouldn't offer the *Irish Dogs Campers* a group rate either.

Oh Caroline, when you said you had a camper van, I didn't realise you had a vw.  We used to have a 1970 bay window and a 1967 split screen, both Devon conversions.  I used to love going away in them, had some great times with other vw camper owners.

How old is yours?
