FURminator DeShedding Tool (MEDIUM) 2.65" wide edge.

Read what the Community Members are saying about this product: http://irishdogs.ie/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=12339&KW=furminator&title=long-haired-gsd-coat-care-advise

The FURminator deshedding tool is a specially designed shed-less treatment for cat and dog brush. FURminator's unique blade is designed to remove loose hair like no other. Dog groomers love this deshedding brush because it removes undercoat hair from dogs and cats while leaving the shiny top coat intact and healthy.

This unique grooming brush is specially designed to dramatically reduce the mess and clean up of unwanted pet hair. There has never been a deshedding tool like this one!

FURminator is proven to decrease shedding by 60-80% and reduce shedding for about four to six weeks. Every dog and cat lover should have FURminator brushes and shampoos in their grooming kit. Improve the appearance of your pet and your environment with the FURminator shed-less treatment! Recommended by doctors for people who have allergies, recommended by veterinarians.

FURminator targets the source of the problem, utilising a micro-fine comb to gather and extract dead hair trapped in the undercoat. This process does not cut or strip the hair and helps restore natural colour and texture whilst stimulating new growth.

FURminator is safe and easy to use with simple guide lines, and is suitable for both long and short-haired dogs and cats. It can even be used with horses to help remove their shedding winter coat.

I have recently gotten hold of these superb tools and am "letting them go" for JUST €24.99 (& €4.00 P+P). This is a saving of at least €10 on most other online petstores and seen selling in the Petshops for €40+ !! BUY THEM NOW ... before I run out of stock.

How do you find it on Wilson Pep? I was very tempted to try it out on Miller the Dalmatian cos he's shedding millions of short little white hairs EVERYWHERE!!....decided I'd better not though cos I thought they couldn't be used on short haired breeds cos they're designed to remove the undercoat.....?

I've got the yellow one Karen- the medium....that would do fine for a Dane I think- your stroke wouldn't be as wide but I find the medium is a handy size for getting around all the curves and boney or dippy areas

mine must be the medium one too then, as mine is yellow!

I find it great for wilson and pepper's coat, it really takes out the loose coat, but i find that with Kas's coat it gets really tangled and it won't pull through and ends up breaking the coat... maybe i'm not using it right!

I sold 22 at the Horse Show and, literally, only have a dozen or so left in stock!! I am absolutely shattered at the moment as we've done five days straight getting up at 6.30am and not getting back until about 10pm

But, it's been a brilliant experience to get across to the "tweeny" market a lot of education/information about Dogs etc. Frankly, I am astounded at the general cop-on of the vast majority of girls aged 11-16 and they then brought their "mothers" to buy and get more information (ie. sus out the lay of the land). Frankly, I am seriously proud of the young girls in Ireland at the moment ... well "sussed"!

I am now going to sleep for a lot of hours.

carriebyrne ... I do indeed! I have precisely ONE left at the moment though it hasn't got its outer packaging (so I'll include the postage in the price). You can get it here if you still want it:

Hi
Would these be any good for a jack rusell's coat? She is a short hair smooth JRT but sheds all OVER the fecking gaff! My normal brush for her just isn't cutting it.

Certainly, I know of a good few people that use it on JRTs.

The trick, though, with the FURminator is not to brush the dog too vigorously or to apply too much pressure. Just a gentle and light brushing should do the trick.

I have two Miniature Schnauzers who are hand-stripped so I don't use a Furminator on them.  However, I'm in the process of adopting a 2 year old Rottie and I'm wondering would a Furminator be suitable for her?  If so what size (she's on the smaller side of the scale) and do you still stock them? Thanks.

Hi there Madra Cliste and welcome to ID!  Don't forget to post some photos of your mob ...

I would recommend the Large sized FURminator for your Rottie as she will easily need this size.

You can order it directly at our eStore ...
