Hi all,

I have a 3 & a half year old Neapolitan Mastiff bitch. She has bad arthritis already. I manage it using meds prescribed by the vet & glucosamine.
Most of the time she is fine, but from time to time, has terrible flair ups & is extremely stiff & has a bad limp.
Just wondering, can anyone suggest any alternative ways to relieve her pain during the flair ups? Hate to see her sore.
Thanks a mil

Poor girl.  A friend of mine gives Devil's Claw for her greyhound who has arthritis .  Its a natural/herbal  powder that you put in the dogs food.  She had previously given  a prescription drug but it has adverse affects on a dogs kidneys so she switched.

I think its hard to get here - she buys it from the Uk when she is there but you could try on line.

Hope this helps

Thanks a million for that suggestion. Definately a help. I'll try that for her as well - don't want to damage her kidneys or liver with too many prescription drugs. Just want to use them if she has a bad flair up.
Thanks again! Much appreciatedSmile
